Apple is gearing up to introduce a redesigned macOS 15 System Settings app at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The large technology company is focused on improving user satisfaction by rearranging the settings according to their importance and priority.
The current macOS 15 System Settings app, which replaced the System Preferences app in macOS Ventura, will undergo a significant overhaul. Apple intends to relocate the Notifications and Sound sections down the list with the General settings slated to be placed beneath the Network settings. This adjustment aims to enhance user accessibility to commonly used settings.
Streamlining Settings for Enhanced User Experience
Apple is planning to make some changes, to the settings layout by merging the Wallpaper and Displays sections, under settings. Additionally Privacy and Security will be consolidated with Touch ID, Password and other related settings. Additionally, Siri and Spotlight will be paired with Internet Accounts and Game Center, creating a more cohesive and intuitive navigation experience within the macOS 15 System Settings app.
Apple’s attention to detail extends beyond the macOS 15 System Settings app. The company is also looking to unveil a black and white icon, for Siri on the menu bar replacing the current vibrant icon. The Calculator application will sport a design in line with iOS aesthetics and Safari will showcase a unified menu for page controls. Speculated updates in macOS 15 may encompass an option for a Printable Account Recovery Summary, a revamped iCloud preference panel and a contemporary user interface, for AirDrop.
