Indie game publisher, PLAYISM, has announced that it will be releasing physics-based building game, Besiege from Spiderling Studios on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on the twelfth of December for PlayStation 4. Translating the experience from the PC & Xbox games it allows gamers to build medieval siege weapons and wreak havoc upon vast castles and tranquil villages.
In Besiege, players’ imagination is the main component as they are engaged in constructing trundling hulks or flying machines in order to traverse fully destructible world. The final target is to subdue every Kingdom with the aim of incapacitating the castles together with their inhabitants, men and livestock, in as imaginative or unimposing a way as is needed. Besiege also includes a multiplayer mode so players can go to battle against one another on a variety of custom maps or can form a team with friends to destroy armies and towns.
Endless Possibilities and Customization
However, there is one thing that I want to stress out and that is that customization is very well developed in Besiege. The base game features multiple options to customize war machines, levels, skins, and mods that are made available by other players through the Steam Workshop, which improves players’ gameplaying experience. For more customization, the game has a level editor that puts the power into the hands of the players and sets the option to place themselves, the objectives and the physics terrain of the level, and the visuals.
That’s why with mod support the potential in Besiege is almost limitless. There is an option for players to generate and install their mods such as the machine blocks, objects in a level and level logic that enriches the game even more. If you are a veteran of the world of siege builders or a newcomer to this exciting genre, Besiege will allow you to appeal to the child in you the world of medieval destruction on PlayStation and Switch in December.
