BeyondATC Launches Early Access Version with Exciting New Features

In this version users can embark on IFR flights in various locations around the globe.

The awaited air traffic control simulation tool called BeyondATC has finally launched its early access version introducing an ATC experience to users of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Despite being a work, in progress the early access release allows users to get a taste of the ATC coverage that BeyondATC is striving to offer.

In this version users can embark on IFR flights in various locations around the globe. Both premium and basic voice models are operational facilitating communication through voice commands, buttons or co pilot assistance. Flight paths will be dynamically assigned SIDs, STARs and ILS approaches based on real time weather conditions. Additionally features like integration with Simbrief are also included.

However BeyondATC mentions that certain planned functions have not been fully implemented yet. Traffic control for aircraft is still being developed. VFR flights, emergency scenarios and oceanic procedures are, among the additions. The developers anticipate that the early access phase will span one to two years as they refine existing features and integrate feedback from the community.

The main objective of creating an Air Traffic Control (ATC) experience is already, within reach as stated by the developers. The early version of BeyondATC includes support for than 250 voice models with accents from different parts of the globe. It adheres to authentic FAA and ICAO phraseology standards to ensure a level of realism. Moreover the inclusion of airport data further enriches localized procedures.

Although the ultimate vision is still a work in progress this initial preview of BeyondATC showcases the potential for a heightened level of control in Microsoft Flight Simulator. As development advances the final product aims to immerse aviation enthusiasts in a realm where each flight is expertly guided from start to finish. At present the early access release caters, to the requirements of any pilot seeking real time air traffic services.
