There are indications that Apple Watch Series 10 will be launched along side iPhone 16 during Apple’s next week event. Despite few rumors surrounding this new smartwatch, the latest rumors indicate that the Apple watch Series 10 is going to have enhanced ECG sensors that can be used in diagnosing a sleep apnea, a condition in which people stop breathing during sleep.
Bloomberg says that in Apple Watch Series 10, if a user may be having sleep apnea, the device will advise the person to seek a doctor. This new feature could become a real revolution in the world of wearable health technology, as it enables millions of people to diagnose a rather dangerous health condition.
Design and Performance Upgrades
Next to this sleep apnea detection feature, the Apple Watch Series 10 will feature slightly larger screens and a thinner case, which should allow it to fit seamlessly on a person’s wrist. The new model may also have better water-resistance with some configurations that will let users of the Apple Watch Ultra explore the Depth app.
In addition, Apple can improve how the watch senses body info possibly moving the check for atrial fibrillation from the watch to the health application. Still, there are some features that could be missing in the Series 10; for instance, Apple has reportedly stripped the blood oxygen sensor from existing watches, in a patent disagreement with Masimo.
