Sonos, a known maker of speakers has been putting effort into enhancing the user experience of its mobile application. Unfortunately a recent software update, for the Sonos app accidentally caused a drain on the battery life of iOS devices. Users were quick to observe this issue with some noting that the Sonos app was using up than half of their iPhone or iPad battery power when running in the background.
In response to the complaints from customers Sonos promptly rolled out an update designed to fix the battery drainage problem. As, per the update details the recent version of the Sonos app is expected to address the battery usage concerns reported by many iOS users following the previous update.
Sonos Commits to Regular App Improvements
Despite facing a setback Sonos is dedicated to improving its apps performance and enhancing user experience. The company has revealed its intention to introduce software enhancements every two weeks. In light of the battery drain issue Sonos community manager Keith Nieves mentioned that the team prioritized fixing this problem.
As Sonos works on refining its app some users have opted for third party options, like SonoPhone to manage their speaker setups. In a message to customers CEO Patrick Spence outlined the companys improvements until October, which include ensuring consistent volume levels enhancing alarm reliability and reintroducing the ability to edit playlists and upcoming queues directly, within the Sonos app.
