YouTube Premium, the known subscription service of the video platform is gearing up for some exciting updates, in the coming days. In a post shared with its community YouTube revealed its plans to enhance its offerings and introduce new options for subscribers to enjoy.
At present YouTube Premium features three subscription plans; Individual, Family and Student. These plans grant users access to ad videos, video downloads and ad free streaming of the YouTube Music library. While details remain vague there are hints that subscribers may be able to share their benefits with friends, down the line; however the specifics of which benefits can be shared are yet to be disclosed.
New Features for Premium Subscribers
With the changes, to the plan YouTube Premium users can expect a variety of new additions. The AI driven “jump function, recently introduced on Android will soon be accessible on iOS devices well. Additionally Android users will soon be able to enjoy watching YouTube Shorts in picture in picture mode, a feature on TikTok.
Premium subscribers will be given the chance to participate in trials, such as downloading batches of Shorts for offline viewing using a conversational AI assistant and experiencing a revamped watch page, on desktop. These fresh features are designed to improve the user experience and offer benefits to YouTube Premium members.
