This extended support will be initially available for selected TVs launched in 2023 and those introduced in March 2024 ensuring that customers can enjoy the features and enhancements over a period.
The announcement, delivered by Yoon Seok woo, the president of Samsung Electronics Visual Display Business Division underscores the companys commitment to improving user experience and staying competitive. By offering seven years of upgrades to the Tizen operating system on its AI enabled TVs Samsung aims to strengthen its market position, against competitors who have been making significant strides in recent times.
Samsung’s Commitment to Innovation and Customer Satisfaction
Samsung continues to lead the TV market but faces tough competition, from Chinese brands like TCL. To stay ahead Samsung is enhancing its TVs with AI capabilities branding them as “AI TVs.” This focus on innovation and customer satisfaction is evident in the software support offered.
While Samsung hasn’t detailed which TV models will receive the seven year update guarantee it’s likely that those with AI features introduced during a period will qualify.
