From August 31st Google plans to enhance its Spam and Minimum Functionality policy to ensure that apps adhere to standards, for inclusion, in the Play Store. The Play Store app deletion will target apps that lack engaging content, provide little to no functionality, or fail to deliver a satisfactory user experience. This refers to applications containing fixed content, like apps, with text or PDF files single wallpaper apps and ones created without a function.
Developers Urged to Comply with New Standards
Google is urging developers to review their applications and ensure they meet the updated guidelines. Applications need to offer a interactive and captivating user experience to stay available, on the Play Store. Those that crash, lack adequate utility, or exhibit behavior inconsistent with a functional and engaging user experience will be subject to removal as part of the Play Store app deletion initiative.
