Samsungs new high end tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10+ has surprisingly appeared on Geekbench equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. This is a departure, from Samsungs choice of using Exynos chips or Qualcomm Snapdragon processors for their top tier tablets.
The listing, on Geekbench shows that the US version of the Galaxy Tab S10+ identified by model number SM X828U comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset. With 12GB of RAM and running on Android 14 it suggests that the tablet will likely debut with Samsungs One UI software version.
MediaTek Dimensity 9300+: A Powerful Contender
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ stands out as a top tier chipset, built using TSMCs cutting edge 4nm technology. Its octa core CPU setup consists of a performing Cortex X4 core running at 3.25GHz three Cortex X4 cores clocked at 2.85GHz and four efficient Cortex A720 cores operating at 2GHz. With the inclusion of the Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU it presents a challenge, to Qualcomms Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in terms of both CPU and GPU capabilities.
Should the information from Geekbench hold true the Galaxy Tab S10+ will mark Samsungs flagship tablet to incorporate a MediaTek processor. Expected year alongside the Galaxy S25 series the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup – comprising the Galaxy Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra – is anticipated to introduce notable enhancements. Although specific details are yet to be confirmed these tablets are likely to boast premium features, like resolution AMOLED screens with 120Hz refresh rates, quad speaker setups and IP68 dust and water resistance.
