The leaks keep rolling in for Google’s upcoming Google Pixel 8a smartphone. A new report has surfaced that provides a comprehensive look at the full specs and features expected on the new mid-range device.
According to the leak, the Google Pixel 8a will be powered by the same Tensor G3 chipset found in Google’s flagship Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. It will also include 8GB of RAM and storage configurations of 128GB or 256GB. The display is rumored to be a 6.1-inch AMOLED panel with up to 2000 nits of peak brightness.
Google Pixel 8a Camera Features

For cameras, the leak mentions a 64MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens on the back along with a 13MP front-facing camera. The Google Pixel 8a is said to offer the same advanced computational photography features as Google’s other Pixel phones. Battery life is reported to last over 24 hours on a single charge or up to 72 hours when using the extreme battery saver mode.
In addition to the specs, the leak provided details on the possible color options for the Google Pixel 8a. Colors mentioned include Volcanic Black, Porcelain, Blue, Azure, Green and Aloe – offering buyers more choices than previous Pixel A-series devices.
Pricing and Availability

The leak also included a predicted starting price of 549€ for the Google Pixel 8a in European markets. This puts it just above the 509€ launch price of last year’s Google Pixel 7a, suggesting a slight increase internationally. No word yet on official pricing or carrier support for other regions.
With just under two weeks to go until Google I/O 2024 kicks off, more information about the Google Pixel 8a is sure to surface. But for now, this is our best look yet at what to expect from Google’s next mid-range smartphone when it launches next month.
