Enthusiasts of the 4X strategy game series have been eagerly anticipating details, about Civilization 7 ever since its announcement in June. Although the initial announcement was somewhat lacking in specifics Firaxis has now confirmed that they will be giving a look at the gameplay for the time during Gamescom 2024.
The grand unveiling of Civilization 7 is scheduled to take place during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event on August 20th at 7pm BST/11am PT. Yet the real highlight for fans will happen post event when Firaxis presents an exploration of the gameplay. Starting at 9.30pm BST/1.30pm PT the developers will showcase “more than” 20 minutes of Civilization 7 gameplay along with insights, from the development team regarding the games new elements.
Hands-On Opportunities at Gamescom 2024
If you’re one of the ones attending Gamescom in person taking place from August 21st, to 25th at the Koelnmesse in Cologne you’ll have the chance to try out Civilization 7 firsthand. Simply head over to the games booth in Hall 6 to explore the installment of the series yourself.
At this point information regarding Civilization 7 is limited with a teaser trailer and confirmation of its release on PC, Xbox Series X/S Xbox One, PlayStation 5 PS4 and Switch in 2024. Nevertheless with a promise of a gameplay presentation and hands on experiences, at Gamescom fans won’t have to wait longer to uncover what Firaxis has prepared for the future of this beloved strategy franchise.
