Fans of the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise got their first look at some post-launch plans for the next title in the series, Assassins Creed Shadows. A data miner going by the name @Ubisoft_Frax recently shared details about downloadable content and additional plans buried in the game’s files.
According to the findings, Assassins Creed Shadows will offer at least two major expansions after launch for $25 each. Players can opt for the season pass at a discounted price of $40 to gain access to all post-launch content. Additional leaked details show how the in-game Helix currency can be used to purchase cosmetic upgrades and other optional items. Players can obtain Helix through gameplay challenges or purchase packs of 500 to 6,600 Helix ranging from $5 to $50.

With expansions and optional cosmetic items to pursue, it’s clear Ubisoft aims to provide ongoing reasons for fans to stick with the Assassin’s Creed universe for months after the main game is completed. While some players criticize games that rely heavily on post-launch monetization, others appreciate having extra content and goals to work towards even after beating the core story.
