Holly Longdale, the Executive Producer of World of Warcraft, recently spilled the beans on the World of Warcraft 2024 Roadmap, and it’s packed with goodies that’ll have fans on the edge of their seats. A couple of months ago Blizzard shared their plans, for both the classic and modern versions of this beloved game.
This year they are taking it to the level with the release of patch 10.2.5 introducing a Hardcore Realms mode that focuses on solo play and launching the Cataclysm Beta. However there’s a change, in plans. The Cataclysm Beta will be arriving a little later than originally intended.
Mid-Year Surprises Await

As we dive deeper into the World of Warcraft 2024 Roadmap, it’s clear that Blizzard isn’t just resting on its laurels. The Cataclysm Beta, which was originally planned to be released in a organized order, between the WoW Classic Season of Discovery and the Self Found mode will now make its entrance right after the Hardcores Self Found mode premieres later this month. Longdale wants to keep us in suspense by promising news on the horizon.
That’s not all! The upcoming 10.2.6 patch for Dragonflight is surrounded by secrecy with no Public Test Realm (PTR) in sight. Longdale hints at an event inspired by ideas from the community open to all WoW subscribers. It’s a bit of an affair. The excitement is definitely building up.
