Powersnake and Kwalee have announced Voidwrought, a new 2D action platformer/Metroidvania coming to Nintendo Switch and PC in 2024. As the Voidwrought Simulacrum, players will descend beneath the star-scorched surface to excavate the multidimensional depths and uncover long-buried secrets.
With sharp controls and engaging exploration, Voidwrought tasks players with collecting Ichor from monstrous guardians. Along the way, players will encounter over 70 enemies and 10 formidable bosses. The atmospheric environments range from the surface ruins to the icy tunnels and biomechanical regions below.
Customizing your Playstyle as the Voidwrought
Players can find and equip over 30 different artifacts in Voidwrought to customize their playstyle, granting both active combat abilities and passive buffs. Artifacts can transform the Voidwrought’s abilities, aiding exploration and battle. Players can also expand their shrine to uncover new areas, treasures, and abilities to aid their excavations.
