City Connection has announced that the popular arcade game Under Defeat will be released on December 5 for PlayStation 5 PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, in Japan. Since its launch in arcades in 2005 the game has built a following with its various console adaptations and updates. With this release Under Defeat is poised to capture the hearts of players more on modern gaming platforms.
Gamers can look forward to purchasing the digital versions of Under Defeat for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch priced at 4,950 yen and 3,980 yen respectively. However the PlayStation 4 edition will only be available as a download. For enthusiasts seeking an experience there is also an edition priced at 8,800 yen featuring exclusive items such, as a special box set, fan book and soundtrack CD.
New Music and Modes in Under Defeat

The latest release of Under Defeat comes with an update – background music crafted by Shinji Hosoe, the original game composer, along with SuperSweep team members. Players now have the choice to select their background music styles, including tracks from versions. The game introduces three modes; “Arcade,” “New Order ” and “New Order+ ” each presenting screen dimensions and stage setups.
In Under Defeat players pilot an attack helicopter armed with both air and ground weapons embarking on missions that demand progression through stages and intricate three dimensional maneuvers. The game offers a combat setting featuring environments that respond to explosions and intense interactions between foes and allies.
