Ubisoft recently announced the cancellation of the anticipated TV adaptation of the Driver Series. The show originally planned in collaboration, with streaming service Binge and announced in 2021 has now been put on hold. Despite this setback Ubisoft reassured fans that they have not forgotten about the Driver Series and hinted at projects for the franchise.
A representative from Ubisoft confirmed to Game File that the partnership with Binge, for the Driver TV series has been canceled. This decision follows the closure of Ubisofts film related subsidiary, Hotrod Tanner LLC, which was named after the protagonist of the Driver Series. However Ubisoft is actively engaged in developing projects related to the franchise and plans to reveal details soon.
