The hit open world tamagotchi simulator Palworld has released a substantive new update, version 0.2.4.0, packing a variety of balance changes and quality of life improvements. Among the standout modifications are significant buffs to Alpha Pals and the thrilling introduction of a chance for players to breed these powerful variants.
Alongside the boosted health of Alpha and Lucky Pals, enemy bosses have seen their damage reduction lowered by 18%. According to the developers, this is intended to ensure encounters remain challenging despite the hardier monsters. Meanwhile, a pesky bug disturbing raid notifications has also been squashed.
Hatching Dreams of Rare Pals

Perhaps most exciting of all, the update now provides a “slight chance” to hatch Alpha Pals from breeding eggs. While specific odds go unspecified, players have already begun reporting their first successful alpha offspring. The potential to strengthen teams with these stat-boosted pals, or even uncover never-before-seen types, makes each new egg a tantalizing prospect.
Of course, with summer just around the corner IRL, Palworld’s own seasonal update also looms on the horizon. Alongside new pals, arenas and other surprises, these back-to-back content injections ensure the hit title stays at the cutting edge of the monster collecting genre. Fans can expect their island adventures to level up even higher in the months to come!
