Blizzard has announced the start of Overwatch 2 Season 10 bringing significant updates to the popular hero shooter. Most notably, the new season will see the addition of the new damage hero Venture who will be immediately available to players. Venture specializes in close range combat with abilities like Drill Dash and Clobber. Season 10 will also provide a limited time preview of the new Clash game mode which takes place across 5 capture points on the new Hanaoka map.
The patch notes reveal adjustments coming to several heroes in the new season. Tanks like Reinhardt and Sigma are receiving buffs with Earthshatter knockdown duration increased and Sigma’s barrier movement speed boosted. For damage heroes, Tracer’s Recall cooldown is increased while Venture’s abilities have had their damage redistributed. Support changes include boosts to Lucio’s Sound Wave and Moira’s Coalescence self-heal. Blizzard aims to further fine-tune the hero balance after last season’s changes.
New Clash Game Mode Preview

In other updates, Overwatch 2‘s competitive mode sees new role-specific titles added for end of season ranks. Grouping restrictions have been removed and players will be informed if their group configuration results in a wider match. Leaver penalties now kick in faster for consistent leavers. Mythic hero skins are now unlocked via the new Mythic Prism currency earned in the battle pass.
The limited-time Clash mode places teams against each other across 5 capture points on the new Hanaoka map. Scoring 1 point for taking an objective, the first team to 5 points or capture all 5 wins the match. Clash provides an objective-focused alternative to standard payload and control point modes. Its linear point structure and scoring system brings a new competitive twist to Overwatch 2.
