You heard it right guys, Need for Speed Unbound is getting another whole year of new stuff added! The developers at Criterion surprised everyone with the announcement that they will continue to support the game throughout 2023 and beyond. This is awesome news for anyone who has been loving the return to more over the top arcade style racing that NFS Unbound delivered.
Over the next year they have promised to bring out 4 new “volumes” of content, each adding in a new major game mode, at least two fresh rides to choose from and an expanded Speed Pass upgrade. The cars are going to be super customizable too with interchangeable body kits and parts so you can truly make your vehicle your own. They also mentioned more events, challenges, ranks to earn and progression updates.
What Kind Of New Content Can We Expect?
As well as all the new in-game additions, Criterion said the plan is to use this second year to get feedback from players and really nail down the perfect formula. It’s great that they want to work with the community to shape where the franchise goes next. This live service approach means NFS Unbound just keeps on getting better and better.
