NetherRealm Studios has brought back fan favorite character Ermac in the newest DLC pack for Mortal Kombat 1. Known for his soul manipulation abilities, Ermac makes his highly anticipated return to the franchise.
With over 60 souls bound together, Ermac wields a unique set of telekinetic powers to overtake his opponents. Players will be able to experience Ermac’s soul attacks and abilities first hand as he joins the roster. Long time fans of the series will also recognize one of Ermac’s new brutalities as a callback to his iconic fatality from Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
Over the years, Ermac has been a popular character for his mysterious backstory and ability to turn the tide of battle with his legion of souls. Fans will be excited to see what role he plays in the current Mortal Kombat 1 storyline. His detailed redesign has also been improved since his initial reveal, featuring a masked look and glowing soul powers.

Under the control of Quan Chi for some time, Ermac has recently broken free and searches for his own purpose. He wields the power of over 1000 souls bound within him, granting devastating telekinetic abilities. In his gameplay reveal, Ermac showed off soul grabs, lifts, slams and his homage brutality to his classic fatality.
With smooth animation and flowing combat, Ermac is shaping up to be a formidable addition to Mortal Kombat 1’s roster. Fans can get their first taste of him in early access starting April 16th. His full release on April 23rd is highly anticipated, bringing the soul manipulator back for a new generation of players to experience.
