Excited fans anticipating the arrival of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will need to exercise patience as Warhorse Studios has revealed a delay, in the games launch. The awaited medieval open world RPG, initially set for a release in 2024 will now be hitting the stores on February 11 2025. This update was shared through a video message, from Warhorses public relations manager, Tobias Stolz Zwilling.
Despite this delay Warhorse Studios has assured fans that they will be kept engaged with a series of reveals and previews. A three minute video released by the studio not announced the postponement and new release date. Also detailed their future plans. Stolz Zwilling acknowledged that although they had targeted a 2024 launch they believed that “almost is not good enough ” prompting them to postpone Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 to 2025.
Gamescom 2024: A Feast for Fans
The studio has plans, for fans at the Gamescom 2024 event. During the Opening Night showcase on August 20 a fresh trailer for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be revealed. The day on August 21 Warhorse will debut a 25 minute gameplay video offering players an in depth look at what the sequel has in store. Additionally a Collectors Edition of the game will be unveiled during the event giving attendees a chance to try out a demo firsthand.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is set to be a game with a map twice the size of its predecessor from 2018 featuring weapons, an epic storyline and an enhanced reputation system. Creative director Daniel Vavra has mentioned that the sequel will elevate the series to levels due to the studios increased resources and expertise. Given that the original game was well received for its small scale narrative and realistic combat mechanics fans can anticipate a more immersive and captivating experience, in this upcoming chapter.
