Helldivers 2 Pulled from Sale in 177 Countries for PSN Linking Requirement

Arrowhead and Sony have defended their decision to make linking to the PSN mandatory citing enhanced moderation and safety measures. However the lack of communication and the sudden shift, from an optional policy have tarnished their reputation. Without offering refunds to PC players the harm may have already been done to Helldivers 2. The games future now appears uncertain as devoted fans question whether they can continue supporting it.

It remains unclear whether Arrowhead will attempt to address the situation or if Helldivers 2 on Steam is beyond saving at this stage. Some players are urging for a reversal of the PSN requirement while others are requesting refunds after the games release. With its review score plummeting the game could face challenges in retaining its player base let alone attracting ones. Time will reveal if this cooperative shooter can bounce back, from the repercussions of its policies.
