Final Fantasy XVI PC Version Moving Closer to Release

Final stages of optimizing the Final Fantasy XVI PC version.

Square Enix’s hit action RPG Final Fantasy XVI launched exclusively on PlayStation 5 last year to widespread acclaim. Fans have been eagerly awaiting details on the promised PC port ever since. In a new interview, director Naoki Yoshida shared that optimization of the Final Fantasy XVI PC version is now in its final stages.

“We are hard at work fine-tuning the Final Fantasy XVI PC version,” Yoshida stated. “Our goal is to ensure it meets the high standards PC gamers expect while staying true to our vision. Although there is still work to be done, I’m pleased to say we are reaching the end of the optimization process.” He added that system requirements will be revealed once the port is nearing release.

A Demo on the Way

Final Fantasy XVI PC Version

In exciting news for PC fans, Yoshida revealed plans to release a demo for the Final Fantasy XVI PC version before its full launch. “To help players understand what their rigs are capable of, we intend to provide a demo,” he explained. “This will allow everyone to experience the game in advance and determine if they meet the specifications.” While a concrete release window was not provided, Yoshida assured fans it will be out in under two years.

With optimization wrapping up and a demo in the works, the finish line seems to be in sight for the long-awaited Final Fantasy XVI PC port. While exact dates are still unknown, 2024 could be the year this seminal RPG comes to computers. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to continue Clive’s epic story on their platform of choice.
