Fans of the zombie action game Dead Rising have something to celebrate as Capcom has officially revealed the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, for Steam. This enhanced version, surpassing the 2016 HD remaster is set to launch on September 19 2024. With improvements in graphics and gameplay this deluxe edition aims to inject excitement into the classic release from 2006.
At the NEXT showcase Capcom showcased visuals comparing the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster with its 2016 HD counterpart. The enhancements, in visuals are striking, with the deluxe edition offering 4K resolution and a seamless 60 FPS experience. Director Ryosuke Murai highlighted the efforts invested in this remaster suggesting that it could almost be considered a remake.
Enhanced Gameplay and Quality of Life Improvements
The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster not boasts a stunning upgrade but also brings in various gameplay enhancements to make the experience more current. Protagonist Frank West now has the ability to move while aiming which adds a touch, to combat encounters. Additionally the remaster features an autosave function though its effectiveness is yet to be assessed. Moreover Capcom has pledged improvements to the AI behavior of playable characters (NPCs) addressing a common source of frustration in the original version.
