Capcom has stirred excitement in the gaming world by confirming their plans to extend the Resident Evil Remakes series. After the success of remaking Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 the company is enthusiastic, about continuing their efforts to revive these games.
During an event at PlayStation partner awards in Japan, Yasuhiro Anpo, the director of the Resident Evil 4 remake dropped hints, about whats to come. “We have already released three remakes that were incredibly well received. We are absolutely delighted to keep introducing these timeless classics to an eager audience ” Anpo expressed with excitement.
What’s Next for Resident Evil?
There is a lot of speculation going on about which game might be the one, in line. Fans are particularly excited about the possibility of a remake of the Sega Dreamcast game Resident Evil Code; Veronica. Other games that could potentially be considered include the Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 or maybe the more action oriented Resident Evil 5.
Anpo acknowledges that remakes come with both challenges and advantages. “We have an existing fanbase with expectations, which helps shape our development process. We really appreciate the input from our community when it comes to remakes ” he explained.nYoshiaki Hirabayashi, the producer of the Resident Evil 4 remake highlighted how beneficial Capcoms RE Engine is for these projects. “The RE Engine not improves the games visuals but also streamlines our development process ” Hirabayashi mentioned.

The launched remake of Resident Evil 4 in March was a success receiving a perfect score in IGNs review. With the release of Resident Evil 3 remake in April 2020 and Resident Evil 2 in January 2019 fans are eagerly awaiting news, about which game will be getting a remake in the Resident Evil series.
