Hideo Kojima is Not Part of the Metal Gear Solid Team

Konami has announced that Hideo Kojima, the main producer of Metal Gear Solid 3, will not be involved in the game's remake project.

Konami recently announced that Hideo Kojima, the creator of the game, will not be part of the team for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 remake While some critics find this decision perplexing, it doesn’t come as a surprising news considering Kojima had a falling out with Konami and went on to establish his own company, Kojima Productions.

Despite Konami’s success with many of Kojima’s games, the renowned game designer expressed his inability to collaborate with them and stated his intention to create new products under his own name. Following this announcement, there were concerns about Konami’s ability to produce new games and how fans would react to this development, and recent events seem to validate those concerns.

Instead of developing new games, Konami has decided to join the trend of remaking popular titles. However, the absence of Kojima, the original creator of the game, in the team will undoubtedly lower the expectations for the upcoming remake, which has already faced multiple delays.

It’s not hard to imagine that critics will heavily criticize any potential design flaws within the game. Meanwhile, Kojima has already begun working under his own company and continues to create games that cater to the tastes of millions of his devoted fans. However, Konami is already starting to face the challenges associated with Kojima’s departure.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater does not currently have a release date, but it is planned to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC.
