OpenAI is improving its tools for identifying AI-generated images and audio. A new classifier can detect<\/a> images made by DALL-E 3 with 98% accuracy, looking for subtle patterns only AI image detection systems can find. It analyses composition, textures and more to spot the signs of artificial creation, even if edits are made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The classifier is being tested on OpenAI<\/a>‘s own research platform. While very effective for DALL-E 3 images, it’s still developing the ability to identify other generators. OpenAI is also enhancing metadata watermarks with information on creators and origins. Testing continues to refine the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
