The creators of the known city building game<\/a> Cities Skylines 2 have recognized the performance issues that have been affecting the game since its launch in October 2023. Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive issued a statement expressing their regret to fans and detailing plans to enhance the experience of Cities Skylines 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon the release of Cities Skylines 2 numerous players noted performance problems when playing on top tier computers. Users experienced framerates and frequent stutters. Despite receiving feedback additional paid downloadable content (DLC) was introduced before addressing these optimization issues. The recent DLC<\/a> release, Beach Properties faced backlash, from players who believed that developers should prioritize fixing existing problems before introducing content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response Colossal Order and Paradox<\/a> admitted their shortcomings by stating, “We apologize for disappointing you. We requested your patience. Proceeded with releasing paid content ” As a resolution they will refund customers who purchased Beach Properties and offer it for moving. However refunds will not be provided for the Ultimate Edition package. The statement also acknowledges the necessity for ” impactful changes ” with an emphasis, on optimizing patches taking precedence over launching expansions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game developers understand the fans concerns. Are making adjustments, to their development plans. Updates and bug fixes for Cities Skylines 2 will be the focus in the months. The console<\/a> versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X have also been delayed, now expected to launch in October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
