In a recent revelation, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer confirmed that Activision Blizzard games on Xbox Game Pass<\/strong> won’t be available until 2024. This announcement was made after a lot of speculation and excitement, within the Xbox community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Microsoft finalized its monumental acquisition of the Call of Duty behemoth earlier this month, many speculated that some Activision Blizzard games on Xbox Game Pass<\/strong> would be introduced immediately. However it seems that things won’t work out like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spencer in his appearance, on the Xbox podcast explained that Microsoft <\/a>is unable to begin integrating any ABK games into the Game Pass until the deal is completely finalized. Now that the deal has been officially completed Microsoft is now starting the preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement from Activision it has been made clear that popular titles such as Modern Warfare III and Diablo IV won’t be available on the Game Pass, until 2023. The company plans for these games to make their debut on the Game Pass in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n

Spencer expressed his sentiments during the podcast, stating, “I genuinely wish there was a surprise drop planned for the upcoming weeks, but that’s not on the cards.” He acknowledged the disappointment this might cause among fans but emphasized Microsoft’s long-term vision concerning the Activision Blizzard games on Xbox Game Pass<\/strong> deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The fact that we won’t be launching with a plethora of games on Game Pass<\/a> immediately is slightly disheartening, but the future holds immense promise. I want our community to know the reality of the situation,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsofts acquisition of ABK, which came with a price tag of $68.7 billion is considered one of the purchases ever made in the gaming industry and stands out as a significant milestone, in the tech world. This deal now gives Microsoft ownership of all ABK games and studios. As for Bobby Kotick<\/a>, the CEO of Activision Blizzard his future, beyond 2023 remains uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
