Attention Call Of Duty: Warzone fans! Now its official, the iconic Verdansk map will return in a new update coming spring 2025 from Activision. The revelation was made during the most recent Call of Duty: Next briefing, confirming that fans have been waiting for since it has long speculated and rumored.
Verdansk is near and dear to the heart of many Call Of Duty: Warzone followers, given that it was the OG map from its 2020 launch. It helped that its varied map, with a mix of tight urban and sprawling fields to fight over, grounded PUBG in battle royale tradition. While it was active, the map saw a few iterations — all leading up to this aforementioned version we’ve come to know and love (and sandy).
Verdansk’s Last Stand
Players will enter Verdansk for the first time since Last Hours of Verdansk, which wrapped up in dramatic fashion at the end of 2021. Players had to run for their lives as the city was being bombarded during a practice event. Indeed, Call Of Duty: Warzone has come a long way since those days, with new maps that haven’t really gripped people the same was as Verdansk.
Information is thin on the ground, for example (Shhh: they’re bringing Verdansk back to Call Of Duty: Warzone already), but I sure hope it meant a major infusion of new content. Activision has not yet shared any specifics about what the map will look like when it returns, so some fans are wondering if theyll get an original version of Hijacked or a new one. Nevertheless, the Warzone community is extremely excited by this news with fans having been craving for Verdansk to make a comeback after many years away.
