Star Citizen Cracks Down on Cheaters, Banning Over 600 Accounts

Cloud Imperium Games, the team, behind the anticipated space adventure Star Citizen has taken a stand against cheating and unfair play within the game. In an announcement the company shared that they have banned than 600 accounts following a thorough investigation that uncovered various exploits affecting the games balance and economy.

Will “Soulcrusher” Leverett, the director of player relations mentioned that they have successfully addressed in game currency exploits in the latest 3.23.1a update. Furthermore they have taken action, against accounts engaging in behavior by suspending them and removing any obtained currency from Star Citizen. Leverett highlighted how cheating and exploiting harm the games integrity and disregard the support of backers contributing to Star Citizens development.
