Get an early dive into the underworld of Hades 2 with the Tartarus technical demo.

Supergiant Games is giving a select few the chance to explore the underworld ahead of schedule. Fans of the hit roguelike Hades can now request access to the upcoming Hades 2 technical demo, providing a first look at the game’s redevelopment of Tartarus.

Stepping back into the depths of the Greek underworld, players will be able to experience the “first major area” reimagined for the sequel. According to Supergiant, this will give “a version where you couldn’t get past Tartarus even if you vanquished its guardian.” Fans will get to acquaint themselves with new foes and challenges within the depths of Hades 2’s hellish opening act.

The demo aims to stress test the online functionality and core systems ahead of the early access launch. Supergiant warns access will be limited at first, starting with a small pool of players to identify issues before gradually expanding the pool. They promise the full technical demo area will be “at least as large as the content that was in Hades when it first launched in Early Access.”
