When you open a chat with a contact or group, you will now see a label below their name or message indicating “End-to-end encrypted.” This label serves as a clear visual cue that messages and calls in that particular WhatsApp chat are protected from unauthorized access thanks to end-to-end encryption. The label is currently only visible temporarily but is meant to reassure users that specific conversations are securely encrypted.
The new feature is currently in beta testing on WhatsApp for Android but is expected to roll out more widely soon.
