New Features and Gradual Rollouts

Microsoft Revives Windows 10 Beta Channel After 3-Year Hiatus

The reopening of the Windows 10 Beta channel, by Microsoft brings a host of features and improvements for users. To get a sneak peek at these updates insiders can simply toggle on the ” updates” option in their Windows Update settings. As time goes by more features will gradually be rolled out to all users who have opted in for access.

An important distinction to remember is that while the Beta channel offers a preview of features switching to the Canary or Dev Channels will transition your PC to the Windows 11 build. Those who don’t meet the system requirements, for Windows 11 won’t be able to switch channels since Canary and Dev are specifically designed for Windows 11 Insider Preview builds. Despite Windows 10 receiving security patches until October 14 2025 Microsofts decision to reopen the Beta channel underscores its dedication to enhancing and supporting this used operating system.
