Canva is planning to raise subscription prices for users by as much as 300 percent in the near future citing the improved quality provided by its new generative AI features as the reason behind the substantial increase, in fees.The company has been actively introducing AI driven tools that it believes have significantly improved the functionality and overall user satisfaction of the platform.
Canva Teams subscribers will be hit hard by the price increase as their yearly subscription costs are set to surge in the US market. Going from $120 for up to five users to a steep $500 for some users based on reports received so far. Even though Canva is rolling out a 40 percent discount for the 12 months which would bring down the price to $300 temporarily; the overall hike remains quite substantial and impactful, on users pockets.
